About The Position

Accounting Instructor (Full-Time, Tenure-Track) Highland Community College, located in the scenic northwest corner of Illinois, is seeking an Accounting Instructor for a full-time, tenure-track position. This role involves instruction and facilitation of student learning, contributing to the academic mission of the college, and fostering student success.

Requirements

• Masters degree in Accounting or a closely related field with extensive coursework in accounting.
• Ability and willingness to teach a broad range of accounting courses.
• Online teaching experience (required).

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching in a community college environment (preferred).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant professional certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of accounting courses, including online and in-person, and hybrid formats.
• Develop and deliver engaging curriculum that meets program and accreditation standards.
• Incorporate innovative teaching strategies and technology to enhance student learning.
• Support student success through advising, mentorship, and timely feedback.
• Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives, including committee work and program development.
