About The Position

The Accounting & Finance Rotational Associate position at Johnson Controls offers recent graduates a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience across various financial functions within the company. Over a 2.5-year program, associates will complete five 6-month rotations in different business units, allowing them to develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's financial operations while receiving mentorship and training from senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance completed by the start of the program (January 2025).
  • Knowledge of basic Finance and Accounting concepts.
  • Ability to change rotational roles every 6 months.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information from diverse sources.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Foreign languages encouraged.
  • Relevant internship experience.

Responsibilities

  • Hold a series of five 6-month assignments across different business units and functions within the company's financial operations.
  • Extract data from financial systems and perform financial analyses to explain variances in financial performance.
  • Participate in the development of budgets, forecasts, or strategic plans, managing complete and timely inputs.
  • Work on projects aimed at improving efficiency, service levels, and reducing operational costs.
  • Assist in the preparation of supporting documentation and various tax filings.
  • Participate in the research and analysis of changes in tax laws or company tax strategies.
  • Assist with treasury activities including daily cash management and account reconciliations.
  • Engage in networking events, leadership training, and professional development curriculum.
