About The Position
The Accounting & Finance Rotation Program (AFRP) at The Walt Disney Company is a full-time entry-level program tailored for recent college graduates. This program is designed to provide a comprehensive cross-functional learning experience within the Controllership and Finance departments. Participants, known as AFRP Analysts, will engage in four distinct rotations, each lasting six months, which will allow them to gain exposure to various aspects of the accounting and finance functions across the organization. The rotations are strategically structured to build essential technical and leadership skills that are crucial for success in the diverse businesses of Disney. During the program, Analysts will have the opportunity to work in different areas such as Corporate, Disney Entertainment, and Disney Experiences. This exposure will not only enhance their understanding of the entertainment industry but also strengthen their accounting and financial planning skills through concentrated work in operational/transactional accounting, financial reporting, corporate tax and audit, and finance. The program is designed to support participants in their journey towards obtaining their CPA license, providing the necessary resources and tools to study for the CPA exam while satisfying the work-hour requirements mandated by the Florida State Board of Accountancy. In addition to technical training, the program emphasizes professional development. Analysts will follow a specialized curriculum aimed at enhancing their communication, leadership, presentation, and writing skills. Networking opportunities abound, as participants will meet with peers and senior leaders from various sectors within the company, fostering valuable connections. Each Analyst will also be paired with a senior-level manager who will serve as a mentor, offering guidance and insights throughout the two-year program. This mentorship, combined with informal partnerships, will enrich the overall experience and prepare participants for future roles within the accounting organizations at The Walt Disney Company.
