About The Position

ShipHawk is a fast-growing SaaS company modernizing shipping and warehouse management. We build software that helps businesses compete with the largest retailers in the world. Our team values ownership, impact, and continuous learning.
This internship is designed to provide real accounting experience — not administrative work.
You’ll work directly with our Accounting team on core financial operations inside a tech company. Interns are treated as contributors and given meaningful responsibilities that translate to resume-ready experience.
You won’t be making coffee — you’ll be making an impact.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at UCSB or Westmont College
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Available to work onsite in Santa Barbara
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Organized, reliable, and eager to learn
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of US GAAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Help prepare audit documentation
• Assist with 1099 reporting and compliance
• Contribute to accounting process improvements
• Support ad hoc finance and reporting projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
