About The Position

Trout CPA is a people-first, full-service accounting firm, and we’re looking for a detail-driven Accounting Coordinator to support our internal finance operations. Reporting to the Controller, this role helps maintain accurate financial records, process payroll, and support key accounting functions that keep our firm running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Experience in bookkeeping and/or payroll
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Clear, service-oriented communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with systems like Paylocity or Sage Intacct (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal financial records, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks
  • Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and compliantly
  • Support AP/AR activities and internal financial reporting
  • Manage benefit deductions, payroll adjustments, and employee record updates
  • Partner with the Controller to improve workflows and strengthen internal controls
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism
