This Accounting Co-op position at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is designed to provide timely and reliable financial and administrative support to the North America (NAMR) finance organization. As a member of the NAMR Finance team, the co-op will participate in the monthly closing process and may assist in the preparation of the US financial reporting, which involves over 30 offices. The role will also include assisting in the review of Other Costs by researching variances and addressing any questions that arise. Additionally, the co-op will provide technical support to the Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams, which includes preparation for various financial, tax, and internal audits. In this role, the co-op will support the US Accounting function by creating monthly journal entries, performing various balance sheet and expense account reconciliations, and assisting in the review of U.S. financial statements. The co-op will analyze and explain month-over-month variances for other costs and revenue, utilizing Oracle reports and Business Objects queries to address questions or research issues. Participation in various audits and preparation of year-end and interim audit schedules for PWC will also be part of the responsibilities. The co-op will assist in gathering information for various tax audits and will update assets within the Fixed Asset (FA) system on a weekly basis to ensure the correct depreciation method is applied for month-end journal entries. Furthermore, the co-op will support the US Accounting and Accounts Payable teams with special projects as needed.
