About The Position

The Accounting Clerk will perform various calculations, verify, and perform data entry duties within the accounting department. The role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, reviewing accounting documents to ensure proper completion and approvals are made before completing data entry of information, and following up to obtain missing supporting documents. The clerk will also cross-train in all areas within the accounting department to be able to perform accurate reconciliation and balancing while always providing outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous accounting bookkeeping experience desired.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry for area assigned using SAGE 100.
  • Reconcile and review for all supporting documents prior to data entry.
  • Reconcile and balance assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Cross Train in all areas within the accounting department.
  • Keep and maintain accounting records.
  • Perform work-related duties as assigned.
