About The Position

Mr. Rooter Plumbing is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk with a strong passion for accounting and a drive to complete tasks efficiently. This role is responsible for handling a full range of accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general finance duties. The ideal candidate will be organized, responsive, and capable of working collaboratively with management and team members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (required)
• 1–2 years of general accounting or finance experience (required)
• 1–2 years of experience with accounting software such as:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with numbers accurately and efficiently
• Strong customer service mindset
• Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance
• Team-oriented attitude

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
• QuickBooks (preferred)
• Service Titan, GreenSky, GoodLeap, (accounting)

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming client calls and respond to emails
• Assist managers with weekly accounting-related tasks
• Verify, process, and issue refunds
• Process credit card transactions and finance
• Generate and maintain monthly financial reports
• Resolve customer billing issues
• Manage Accounts Payable from start to finish
• Manage Accounts Receivable from start to finish
• Request and maintain customer W-9 forms and Certificates of Insurance (COI)
• Communicate with customers regarding past-due invoices
• Assist with special accounting projects as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned
