About The Position

Accounting Clerk - Veterinary Innovative Partners (VIP) šŸ“ This is a hybrid in-office position based at our headquarters in Franklin, TN. We will only be interviewing candidates who can commit to working 3 days per week on-site. Veterinary Innovative Partners (VIP) was founded by four veterinarians who shared a simple vision — to be the most caring place for pets, pet parents, and pet care providers. As a veterinarian-owned-and-operated family of boutique hospitals, our mission is clear: to provide our clients, their pets, and our Team Members with the kind of personalized care that is achieved and sustained through the right balance of centralized support and hospital-level autonomy. As an Accounting Clerk at VIP, you will play a key role in supporting the Accounting Department, focusing primarily on accounts payable and bank reconciliations. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintain vendor relationships, perform bank reconciliations, and assist with month-end close processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The position offers a salary range of $50,000–$60,000 and this is a full-time position working 3 days per week at our headquarters in Franklin, TN and 2 days per week remote.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Bill.com) and Microsoft Excel
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Verify and obtain proper approvals for all payables
  • Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries promptly
  • Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end accruals related to accounts payable
  • Bank Reconciliations Perform monthly and weekly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Record journal entries to correct reconciliation variances
  • Ensure all bank transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger
  • General Accounting Support Assist with month-end close procedures and reporting
  • Provide support for audits and special projects as needed
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
