This job, with minimal supervision, prepares and posts the general ledger journal entries for non-patient related collections. Oversees the distribution of daily change funds to Main Campus Patient Service Associates' and satellite locations. Issues collection receipts for deposits from former hospital locations. Regulates the distribution of and accounting for petty cash payments. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Reconciles all transactions.
  • Processes all invoices received.
  • Verifies invoice quantity and amount.
  • Researches and resolves all discrepancies related to vendor invoices, credits and statements.
  • Initiates quality improvements.
  • Participates in and supports special projects.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processing.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. more than eight hours a day).
