About The Position

The Accounting Clerk supports daily accounting operations for the hotel, including accounts payable, general cashier, income audit, and accounts receivable functions. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play an important role in supporting the hotel’s financial operations and ensuring accuracy behind the scenes. Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills, including full Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, check requests, and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain and reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable records
  • Record and balance daily cash activity, including cash drops and variances
  • Maintain the hotel safe, house banks, and petty cash
  • Code and submit petty cash receipts for processing
  • Support daily income audit by reviewing transactions, adjustments, and reports
  • Route rebates and promotional items while maintaining proper audit documentation
  • Assist with accounts receivable, including billing, account setup, and collections
  • Manage purchase orders and ensure receiving accuracy
  • Prepare reports and assist with month-end processes
  • Respond to inquiries from associates, guests, and vendors in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with guest billing questions or discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and files
  • Support the team and assist with other duties as assigned
