Requirements

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Experience: None
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong organization skills with ability to manage large workload
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and Access
  • Ability to manage special projects
  • Ability to respond quickly and accurately to various requests
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond appropriately to management.
  • Ability to interface well with personnel at all levels
  • Experience in satisfying Sox compliance activities

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and reviews journal entries.
  • Prepares and reviews assigned P&L account variances analyses.
  • Prepares and reviews assigned balance sheet account fluctuation analyses.
  • Assists with close activities as assigned.
  • Prepares and reviews assigned account reconciliations.
  • Researches and resolves any general ledger system issues together with IT personnel and others as required.
  • Monitors and documents departmental policies and procedures to ensure 100% compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Supports special projects as needed.
  • Prepares schedules and analyses as requested by internal, external and SOX auditors.
  • Works with other department as needed.
