We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will report to the Senior Accountant and assist with basic accounting responsibilities as detailed below. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a basic understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to handle tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily reconciliation of point-of-sale transactions across our 115+ retail locations.
- Audit and verify cash and credit card deposits to ensure alignment with reported sales.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies from daily cash audits in a timely manner by effectively communicating with front-line associates and sales leaders.
- Perform reconciliation of retail bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Prepare and report on cash balances.
- Reconcile and process commission chargebacks ensuring alignment with our compensation plans.
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations.
Requirements
- Associate degree in accounting or 2+ years of accounting related experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and performs with high levels of accuracy.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
