Brown & Brown is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our growing team in Columbia, KY! The Accounting Associate is responsible for processing direct bill reconciliations for the offices within the Retail division in accordance with established company practices and timelines. How You Will Contribute: Transact, reconcile and record insurance carrier commission statements and payments. Leverage software automation for process efficiency. Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance. Timely and reliable attendance. Build courteous and successful relationships with carriers and profit centers to maintain efficient practice. Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing, and a positive attitude in the department and office. Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education. Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 1+ years office experience
  • General knowledge of financial accounting
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft office including but not limited to Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Skilled in the use of modern office equipment, with experience working across multiple monitors and in a paperless environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in a finance-related field or in the process of pursuing one (AA or BA)
  • Knowledge of Vertafore AMS360 products.
