About The Position

Accounting Associate (Accounts Receivables) for Four Counties of Direct Support Providers who Assist Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Along Life’s Journey Be a real life hero in the lives of those with disabilities. Class LTD is hiring administrative individuals to process accounts receivable and to ensure financial reporting accuracy for four counties of direct support professionals who assist individuals with intellectual disabilities. The accounts receivable accounting associate must be knowledgeable of all steps, processes, procedures, and documentation required to process accounts receivable to ensure financial reporting accuracy. This position is also responsible for assisting in reconciling General Ledger accounts related to invoicing of clients, housing projects and the Foundation, for completing accounts receivable data entry, accounts receivable files and backup for Accounts Payable processing. Prior accounts receivable experience is a must. Additional paid training is provided. Major holidays (8) are off paid days. Dress code is relaxed business casual. The successful candidate will have a passion for enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities, a caring personality and an ability to be attentive to details. They will be able to lift 50 lbs. and pass a background check regarding criminal offenses and child/elder abuse. Experience is a must. We will provide additional training to the right person.

Requirements

  • State accredited high school or equivalent (GED)

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts receivable
  • Ensure financial reporting accuracy
  • Reconcile General Ledger accounts related to invoicing of clients, housing projects and the Foundation
  • Complete accounts receivable data entry
  • Maintain accounts receivable files
  • Provide backup for Accounts Payable processing
  • Maintain a current and valid driver's license of the state of residence and be determined as an "insurable driver" by the automobile insurance carrier for CLASS LTD.
  • Comply with all federal, state and local laws regarding communicable and infectious diseases and CLASS LTD policies rules and practices regarding medical examinations or immunizations.
  • No records of convictions, administrative findings or history of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children or adults unable to protect their own interest, and conviction of other crimes, including, but not limited to crimes against persons, sex crimes, crimes against property, violation of personal rights, public safety, public morals, or any crimes that would be classified in Kansas as a felony or deemed unacceptable for employment with CLASS.

  • Accomplishes the Performance Improvement Objectives agreed upon at the previous Performance Evaluation.
  • Must be able to work with all four counties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Read, comprehend & compose written material as required for case notes, plans, and policies.
  • Work as an effective accounting team member and facilitator to the counties as needed.
  • Attain minimum required in-service training each year.
  • Must be able to cross-train as back-up for Accounts Payable and/or Client Payroll as needed.
