Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role (hospitality industry experience is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial transactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, M3, Sage).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • hospitality industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processing, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections.
  • Reconcile daily revenue reports and verify transactions against hotel records.
  • Prepare bank deposits and cash reconciliations while ensuring proper handling of hotel funds.
  • Support payroll processing by reviewing timekeeping records and ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist with general ledger entries, journal postings, and month-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including tax regulations and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation and assist with audits when necessary.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive supplier relationships.
  • Organize and maintain financial records, ensuring proper documentation of invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
  • Support other accounting team members with ad hoc projects and reporting as needed.
