About The Position

Inland Companies and Colliers | Wisconsin are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive professional to join our Real Estate Management Accounting team as a full-time Property Accounting Assistant at our downtown Milwaukee corporate headquarters. In this role, you will work closely with our Real Estate Management and Accounting teams to support day-to-day accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of real estate clients. You will play a meaningful role in keeping daily operations running smoothly while building strong, trusted relationships with internal partners. Our goal is to train and prepare the individual in this role for promotion to an Associate Property Accountant within 1–2 years, offering clear opportunities for long-term growth within our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support and help drive accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Prepare and distribute portfolio rent statements to tenants
  • Maintain rent rolls and general ledger activity
  • Perform cash management functions and bank reconciliations
  • Assist with property onboardings, offboardings, and portfolio transitions, helping ensure the integrity and accuracy of our accounting and property management systems
  • Partner with Real Estate Management and Accounting teams to deliver accurate, client-focused financial services
  • Complete ad hoc projects and provide general support to the broader Real Estate Management and Accounting teams as needed
