About The Position

American Refrigeration Supplies, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of A/C and heating equipment, accessories and supplies and has been serving our customers for 85 years. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Accounting Assistant at our Corporate Phoenix office. This position is full-time (typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
• A minimum of 2 years account payable or accounting experience within a high volume distributor.
• Employee must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to communicate well with others.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications.
• Basic typing/10-key skills.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting Degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support AP and Marketing teams in tracking and processing coop claims with suppliers
• Keep track of marketing coop program requirements, programs, and balances
• Keep up to date records of marketing funds used for reference by various departments
• Communicate with third parties regarding reimbursements for marketing funds
• Collaborate with Accounting, Purchasing Department, Management and Branch-level team members as needed
• Assist Accounting and Payroll teams in biweekly time sheet processing
• Review and update time clock records
• Other duties as assigned
