About The Position

To support and provide accurate, relevant, knowledgeable, and timely cost accounting, financial and operational results, and transactional accounting information to the Glanbia. This may include the reconciling and preparing production reporting, balancing and tracking physical inventories and usage, and other miscellaneous tasks.

Requirements

  • Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routing database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example of sharing of knowledge/skill.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the transportation department.
  • Validate physical plant inventories against SAP weekly.
  • Preform the daily sell over process for our whey finished goods.
  • Provide coverage for other office personnel.
  • Review work and assess for reasonableness; identify and report on significant variances.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reporting for cost categories as assigned.
  • Support front desk as needed, including switchboard operator, greeting visitors, and distributing mail.
  • Organize electronic and physical files.
  • Assist in weekly and monthly departmental and plant reporting.
  • Support department heads within operations financial information.

  • Participates in special projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
