About The Position

A fast-growing personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant with strong bookkeeping and legal trust accounting (IOLTA) experience. This role supports the firm’s finance department with daily accounting functions, settlement disbursements, and reconciliation of operating and trust accounts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years bookkeeping or accounting assistant experience (law firm experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of trust accounting / IOLTA procedures strongly preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, or similar accounting software
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with client trust (IOLTA) account transactions and reconciliations
  • Support settlement disbursement processing and lien/vendor payments
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Maintain organized financial records and assist with monthly reporting
  • Coordinate with attorneys and case staff regarding case costs and payments
