About The Position

Keenan & Associates is seeking an Accounting Assistant for their Torrance office. This role involves managing bank reconciliations, processing funding requests, and providing excellent customer service to clients. The position is integral to the financial operations of the company, which specializes in insurance brokerage and consulting services for various sectors including hospitals and public entities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of Accounting experience required.
  • Good math aptitude.
  • Knowledge of 10 key adding machine and ability to type 45 wpm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude to make decisions based on the information provided.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile up to 60 bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare weekly funding registers for Employee Benefit clients.
  • Maintain and process stop payments.
  • Prepare daily courier deposits for Bank of America and US Bank.
  • Maintain detail pages for Employee Benefit clients.
  • Prepare requests for monthly funding from reinsurers.
  • Prepare deposits for Employee Benefits bank accounts.
  • Provide excellent customer service with internal and external clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.
