The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Accounting Assistant 2. All duties will require this position to review and determine the fiscal as well as customer service impact of the transaction. For example, when a check is received, this position will need to determine which department the check belongs to, if the check is expired, if the check is valid, what currency the check is, etc. In each instance the Accounting Assistant must make decisions that require research and problem-solving skills. This position will ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures. The position will work under the supervision of the Budget Coordinator who will be reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration. Responsibilities include managing accounts receivable, payment collection, purchasing, accounts payable, budgets, record keeping, payroll, training, and ad-hoc assignments.
