Accounting and Finance Intern, Summer 2026
About The Position
In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program. BAE Systems Intelligence and Security (I&S) sector supports critical national security missions that protect our nation and those who serve. I&S is seeking Finance Interns who will work within finance and accounting functions such as: Process Review, General Ledger, Project Setup, Closeout, and other sub-functions. The I&S Internship Program offers on-the-job training as well as: Competitive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly wage, working full-time (Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week) through the run of the program (late May through August). Opportunity for Future Employment: I&S Finance and Accounting interns will also receive information and contacts to apply for our Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP). Many BAE Systems interns are hired on full-time after completing their degree. Challenging & Meaningful Work: Your work will be challenging and impactful with on-the-job training and the opportunity to complete a Summer project. Networking and Development Opportunities: You will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships as you participate in workshops, mentor programs, presentations with senior leaders, community involvement, and other networking and development events.
Requirements
- You must be completing your Bachelor’s Degree program at an accredited university between December 2026 and Summer 2027
- Ability to work 40 weeks during the summer
- Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
