About The Position

The Accounting and Audit Intern position will almost exclusively be dealing with accounts payable by paying a high volume of vendors. In addition, this position will be tasked with working through billing issues with Pricebook, vendors, and merchandisers. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may perform other duties to meet the ongoing needs of the department and/or organization. Duties within the department may also change to ensure business needs are met on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• General accounting experience
• Advanced computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to troubleshoot in various software
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and communication skills
• Strong expertise related to organization, time management, and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure while completing tasks in full
• Willingness to perform additional responsibilities
• Team player with the ability to adapt to change with a focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to travel short and long distances
• Ability to communicate through written and verbal practices
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Continuous manual dexterity
• Lifting requirements include lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds on occasion
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
• Sufficient visual acuity

Responsibilities

• Administer the accounts payable process for multiple vendors on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis
• Assist with invoice and import issues
• Audit store information
• Assist with front desk operations and visitor support as needed
• Act as a backup resource for multiple positions while developing a broad understanding of accounting operations
• Assist with various departmental organization projects
• Complete special projects as requested by Management/Executive team
