Cable Huston is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the company's financial operations. Requirements

5+ years of experience in accounting/finance
Proficiency with accounting software
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial issues

Responsibilities

Support the financial operations of the company
Perform a variety of accounting duties
Conduct financial analysis
Prepare financial statements
Ensure the accuracy of financial data
Coordinate with contracted providers on payroll processing
Coordinate with contracted providers on the retirement plan
Coordinate with contracted providers on business taxes
Coordinate with contracted providers on banking
Coordinate with contracted providers on the annual administration of benefits plans
Generate weekly/monthly/annual financials
Calculate and reconcile referral fees monthly
Calculate draw account balances, individual and general overhead
Analyze financial data, budget variances and trends to support business decisions
Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, budget comparisons, and forecasts
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly and resolve any discrepancies
Work with CPA (Ford Black) on Firm Tax Return
Prepare Quarterly OQ Returns to Oregon for 401k Plan Distributions
Prepare Annual 1099s
Compile information and file WA B & O Taxes return with state of Washington
Prepare Oregon Personal Property Return, preparation of annual return
Prepare Worker’s Compensation Return, preparation of annual audit
Calculate quarterly payroll taxes for associates/paralegals
Calculate and provide quarterly income estimates to partners
Accurately process payroll for all employees on a regular basis (bi-monthly)
Ensure that all payroll transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
Assist with annual benefits renewals
Prepare census
Coordinate with health/dental/FSA providers
Support Section 125 (FSA accounts) and Section 132 (Transit & Parking accounts) Plans in coordination with Professional Benefits Services
Manage 401k Plan in collaboration with Northwest Plan Services and Preisz Financial
Crosstrain team members for backup support of primary functions
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Assist in the implementation of new accounting software
