About The Position

We are seeking a Temporary Accounting Analyst to support a short-term data reconciliation project. This role will focus on comparing and reconciling accounts receivable data between two systems—one at a detailed transactional level and one at a summarized level. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, Excel-savvy, and able to work independently to identify and resolve data discrepancies within a defined project timeframe.

Requirements

• Advanced Excel skills are required, including experience with: XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, SUMIF / COUNTIF, IF/THEN logic and other data comparison formulas
• Experience working with large datasets and reconciling data between systems
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a short-term, project-based role
• Self-starter with an eager, can-do attitude and ability to learn quickly
• Ability to focus and remain productive in a loud or busy work environment

Nice To Haves

• Background in accounting or finance
• Experience with accounts receivable data (invoices, payments, customer balances)
• Prior experience in a temporary, project-based, or contract role

Responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts receivable data between two systems, including detailed invoice and payment data versus summarized balances
• Identify, analyze, and document discrepancies between datasets
• Use Excel to compare large datasets and support reconciliation efforts
• Apply formulas and tools such as XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF, IF/THEN logic, and other methods to analyze data
• Clearly communicate findings and reconciliation results to accounting and finance stakeholders
• Support timely and accurate completion of the reconciliation project
