AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation. We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer. These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times. What Drives Success We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to perform accounting tasks in fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate transactions, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures, and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and theories of financial statements and reports, accounting ledgers and journals and computer technology related to accounting systems.
  • 1-3 years of experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Prepare account reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurately stated.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Maintain existing internal controls while looking for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Posting complex entries to general ledger, ensure proper coding and reconciliation of source docs to general ledger.
  • Complex entries include, but are not limited to intercompany accounting, hourly and salary payroll, corporate allocations, accounts payable invoices, accounts receivable invoices, incoming & outgoing payments, depreciation, and amortization.
  • Assist with governmental reporting/compliance.
  • Manage projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned.
  • Reconcile accounting data.
  • Maintain various ledgers, journals, registers, and other fiscal records; allocate costs/revenues to appropriate functions; classify expenditures and post them to various accounts as required.
  • Expense management for business unit.
  • Sales and Use tax filings.
