Job Summary and Qualifications Position Goal: The Accounting Analyst will assist in the preparation of financial information, ensuring accuracy, and completeness to meet specified deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrates strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of initiative with an ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • (CPA) Certified Public Accountant or CPA candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Prepare monthly close entries related to but not limited to intercompany and accruals.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Oversees lease accounting, review lease accounting data, classification and schedules.
  • Track capital expenditures to ensure accuracy of monthly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Document key accounting policies and internal control processes to maintain compliance with generally accepted audit standards and parent company's internal audit department.
  • Act as a liaison between RCON and the parent company accounting department to ensure monthly and annual reporting is reconciled.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual audit documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
  • Preparation of financial statements, footnotes and support for review/audit by auditors.
  • Perform both routine and ad hoc detailed analytical reviews and reports.
