About The Position

This role will serve as a key resource for the Finance and Operations teams, providing accounting and analysis support for the Nogales - San Clemente sites. Key responsibilities include processing of daily business transactions, month-end closing activities, and management reporting. This position reports directly to the Nogales-San Clemente Plant Controller.

Requirements

  • The position requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or 3 or more years of experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in finance or accounting in manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Experienced Excel skills required.
  • Additional requirements include a working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and the ability to multi-task with moderate supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, as well as willingness to accept and task ownership of new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP Accounting system (IQMS) and Salesforce.com is a plus.
  • Standard cost accounting experience (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Daily execution & Analysis of Shift report
  • Process Cost & Sales invoicing transactions.
  • Prepares and processes monthly journal entries as needed.
  • Reviews general ledger activity and inventory transactions to ensure accounting accuracy.
  • Performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provides routine reporting and variance analysis.
  • Capital expenditure tracking.
  • Fixed assets administrative.
  • Aid in further development of sales and operations KPIs (Scrap, Inventory, Cycle counts).
  • Assists with updating as needed standard costs for new and current items.
  • Supports Site Controller in annual budgeting/rolling forecast processes as needed
  • Performs ad hoc tasks as needed to support accounting department
  • Work & support financial projects at site level on a day-to-day basis
  • Helps ensure financial integrity of results by adhering to site and corporate policies, including SOX compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned
