About The Position

Our Accounting Advisory team partners with clients to modernize finance functions, strengthen accounting operations, and navigate complex business transformations. We are seeking a Senior Associate, CFOA – Accounting Advisory to join our team onsite in our Torrance, CA office. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys hands-on client work, process improvement, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. As a Senior Associate, you will: Provide consulting services across multiple client engagements, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing practical solutions. Participate in all phases of engagements, including planning, fieldwork, wrap‑up, and preparation of client deliverables. Assess clients’ Corporate Accounting and Finance functions and support transitions from current‑state to future‑state operations. Digitize and automate accounting workflows, optimize processes, and develop custom solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support initiatives related to accounting policy development, process design, and accounting department assessments. Lead and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to prioritize process improvements, system enhancements, and automation opportunities. Perform process mapping and analysis to streamline workflows and improve overall accounting operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
• CPA license, or the ability to be licensed
• 3+ years of experience in a public accounting firm and/or industry environment performing audit, accounting, or consulting services.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies that transform accounting processes and systems.
• Strong project planning and organizational skills, with experience leading engagements from start to finish.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all professional levels.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and detail‑oriented skill set.
• Experience with accounting and ERP platforms such as SAP, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Workday, Yardi, or QuickBooks.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in the Cherry Bekaert Torrance office, with travel required for client engagements as needed.
