Accounting Administrator - Amarillo, TX
About The Position
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for conducting financial analysis, daily, weekly reporting and month end close activities for the beef plant in Amarillo. The ideal candidate will be flexible, eager to learn about our operations, and enthusiastic about providing insights and improvement opportunities to the plant operations team. The role is an hourly position in the Complex Accounting team that works Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays and holidays as needed. The applicant MUST have a flexible schedule to work early mornings into late evenings when required. Excellent data entry, math, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced environment. The hired applicant will be required to cross-train in other parts of the office and cover other desks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of office experience preferred
- 1+ years of accounting experience a plus
- Basic computer skills including generating simple spreadsheets
- Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Tyson Systems SAP Vistex Deal Capture and TBM preferred
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of multiple business units accounting requirements and general ledger coding
