The Accounting Administrative Clerk is an integral team member of the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles’ Accounting & Finance department. They work closely providing accounting and administrative support to the entire Accounting & Finance department, our 29 centers and cross functional teams. They are responsible for performing various accounting duties, daily administrative functions and supporting other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Support the Accounting team in maintaining accurate construction in progress schedules.
  • Maintain department data and records, which include but not limited to, preparing and tracking spreadsheets/worksheets for various general ledger accounts.
  • Gather and organize the invoices and back up documentation required by the New Market Tax Credit for the Kolar center.
  • Help maintain depreciation schedules accurately.
  • Support the Accounting & Finance teams with various administrative duties, including but not limited to, preparing and uploading journal entries, uploading data, and scanning and/or filing documents.
  • Work on other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain highest level of professionalism and confidentiality in support of the centers and organization.
  • Thorough, detailed, insists on accuracy and strives for excellence
  • Ability to be highly proactive, organized and attentive to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks/problems quickly and manage multiple requests/expectations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate well to individuals at all levels and departments
  • Self-starter with confident and professional approach to work
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently with limited supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Be able to handle new tasks with a good attitude.
