At BSH Home Appliances Corporation, we are looking for an Accountant to join our team in New Bern, NC. This full-time position plays a crucial role in maintaining proper asset management and valuation methods in accordance with BSHG guidelines. The Accountant will be responsible for various fixed asset accounting duties, including creating asset master records for approved capital purchases, maintaining orderly records of all fixed assets across our New Bern factories, verifying invoices, processing asset payables invoices, and ensuring correct classification of assets. Additionally, the role involves maintaining book and tax depreciation master data in SAP, running monthly depreciation calculations, and performing monthly asset roll forward reconciliations. The Accountant will also organize and execute annual fixed assets inventory and prepare the Annual Property Tax Filing package. In terms of investment planning and reporting, the Accountant will verify and maintain budget availability for Capital Asset Requisitions, maintain investment plans and forecast tracking reports for factory managers, and support the investment planning process, including depreciation forecasts. General accounting duties will also be part of the role, such as assisting in the preparation of the Annual Income Tax Package, preparing External Audit PBC schedules, providing backup for the Financial Accountant, and assisting in cash flow analysis and forecasting. The Accountant will also support the inventory cycle count program and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires a high school diploma, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Candidates should have 3-5 years of accounting experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential, and knowledge of SAP is an advantage. The role requires a 10-key calculator by touch and familiarity with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, as well as inventory accounting. The position may require up to 10% travel.
