About The Position
The position is located in Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Resource Directorate, Financial Management Division, Accounting Branch. Serve as the Senior Accountant responsible for designing, developing, operating, and administering accounting operations that involve policy, accounts payable, debt collections, accounts receivable, and reimbursement programs. Responsible for independently solving problems, performing research, developing proposals, and providing technical advice and guidance for the DCAA accounting and financial management systems. Perform written and oral presentations and participates in briefings to internal and external management officials on Agency policies and procedures. Perform duties utilizing information technology techniques for the use of financial management and accounting applications, spreadsheets and statistical data. Participates in meetings concerning operating programs, advises on the financial status of programs, discusses operations, progress and accomplishments and probable effects of alternative actions.
