Accountant

About the position

The Doe Run Company is currently seeking an Accountant who will be responsible for supporting accounting functions, including performing daily billing activities, satisfying information requests from various auditors, assisting with internal control testing, and document filing. This position is located at our Corporate Office in St. Louis, MO. This position offers a competitive base pay and is eligible for the Company variable pay (bonus) plan. Responsibilities

• Process, maintain and review sales activity and accounts receivable by evaluating results compared to sales contracts, maintaining sales audits and general ledger account review.
• Provide account analysis of sales and receivables.
• Preparation and entry of month end journals and other accounting related duties.
• Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a general accountant.
• Knowledge of general ledger account reconciliation.
• Experience analyzing billing and invoicing using a complex billing structure.
• ERP experience, Peoplesoft preferred.
• Knowledge of general accounting standards and principles.
