About The Position

The City of Anaheim is currently seeking an Accountant to prepare and examine financial records, identify potential areas of opportunity and risk, and provide solutions for businesses and individuals. This position is a full-time role with a pay range of $25 - $27 per hour, depending on experience. The first one to two weeks will involve training, during which the employee will work only three days a week. The regular working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine financial records
• Identify potential areas of opportunity and risk
• Provide solutions for businesses and individuals
• Record transactions using QuickBooks and maintain financial records
• Prepare financial reports, analyze financial data, and perform reconciliation
• Manage the company's accounts payable function
• Collect, analyze, and summarize account information and trends for financial reports
• Prepare and send invoices to customers
• Investigate documentation to resolve account discrepancies, issue stop payments and adjustments
• Reconcile statements and transactions to verify accounts
• File accounting documents to maintain financial historical records
• Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts, and manage cash flows
• Input expenses
