Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proven leadership ability, with experience managing and supporting a small team
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for executive review
  • Verify and pay monthly gross receipts and sales taxes
  • Conduct daily reviews of holding accounts for accuracy, including accounts payable, credit cards, payroll, and tax-related accounts
  • Complete required monthly reporting spreadsheets and compile supporting documentation for leadership
  • Maintain and reconcile organizational accounts, as well as select owner-related and affiliated accounts
  • Participate in financial meetings with ownership, executive leadership, and the CFO
  • Audit internal accounting and bookkeeping activities on a regular basis
  • Initiate ACH transactions and manage reporting and positive pay processes as needed
  • Verify check status and provide check images upon request
  • Execute internal bank transfers when necessary
  • Maintain the operating budget and participate in quarterly budget reviews with leadership
  • Provide financial and accounting support to administrative leadership as needed
  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and professional development for a small accounting or finance team
