About The Position

Jing-Jin Electric (JJE) is a world leader of motor systems and electric drive assembly for new energy vehicles (NEV), covering pure electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrids, and hybrids. We are looking for an Accountant to join our team! The Accountant is the regional Finance and Accounting member for North America. The role performs accounting entries, intercompany transactions and analysis and prepares reports that summarize and forecast regional business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations. The incumbent will work closely with the organization’s Corporate Finance team based in China and teams in North America to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory financial policies and US GAAP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • At least Five (5) years of relevant accounting experience, experience with multinational business and direct experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, budgets and forecasts, receivables and payables, etc.
  • Must have experience with cost accounting as it relates to manufacturing processes.
  • Must have understanding of US GAAP and the ability to apply those principles to our specific business transactions.
  • Must have experience with and be proficient in multiple functions of an ERP system.
  • Prior experience in Finance role where global collaboration was critical required, preferable China.
  • Mandatory, English and Chinese (Mandarin)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
  • Must be analytical, detail-oriented, organized and able to work with numbers and high volume of data while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with foreign currency translation and revaluation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Cost accounting knowledge is preferred
  • Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs general accounting functions that include but are not limited to journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, monitoring monthly accruals, development and reconciliation of budgets and forecasts, receivables and payables, payroll, tax, inter-company transaction.
  • Manage month-end close of financial records and consolidation of locations and/or cost centers, if/where applicable.
  • Responsible for tracking and cost for manufacturing processes, including labor, inventory analysis, etc.
  • Monitor accounts receivables and payables.
  • Monitor fixed asset control and depreciation, accruals to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports for sales, payroll, personal property taxes, etc.
  • Perform technical accounting GAAP research on various topics.
  • Assist in creating and gathering support relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company’s financial records.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and other special assignments as needed.
  • Provide special project assistance to the Accounting Manager, CFO, Controller(s), etc., if/when needed.
  • Provide support to other departments on accounting issues as needed.
