About The Position

The Accountant is responsible for a wide range of accounting activities which consists of general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, Accounts Payables, month-end close and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 2 to 3 years of accounting experience.
• Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) controls.
• Ability to work with all levels of management and operational groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for high volume accounts payables (AP) invoice processing on 2 and 3-way match purchases.
• Supervise weekly AP invoice on hold report.
• Compile and monitor AP Aging Report.
• Forecasting of weekly payment registers.
• Work with Procurement or suppliers to resolve invoice/purchase order discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries and accruals for assigned accounts.
• Assist in reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and variances analysis to identify/research/resolve unusual balances.
• Assist in annual external audit as well as our annual 401(k) audit.
• Special projects as assigned.
