About The Position

As an Accountant at Altitude Roofing, Windows & Remodeling, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting with budgeting and analysis. This is a key role that helps ensure smooth financial processes, supports business growth, and maintains the financial integrity of the company.

Requirements

1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction, home services, or similar fast-paced environment
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or pursuing CPA preferred)
Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger, and accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and present financial information clearly
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment with multiple tasks and deadlines

Nice To Haves

CPA or pursuing CPA preferred
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist in managing day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights for strategic decision-making
Monitor actual performance against budget, identifying variances and suggesting corrective actions
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payment and collection
Help maintain accurate records for vendor transactions and customer payments
Assist with cash flow management and tracking outstanding balances
Ensure financial processes comply with company policies, accounting standards (GAAP), and relevant regulations
Assist in the preparation for audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed
Work closely with the operations and leadership teams to support financial planning and business initiatives
Provide regular financial reports and updates to management to guide operational decisions
