About The Position

As an Accountant at Altitude Roofing, Windows & Remodeling, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting with budgeting and analysis. This is a key role that helps ensure smooth financial processes, supports business growth, and maintains the financial integrity of the company.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction, home services, or similar fast-paced environment
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or pursuing CPA preferred)
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger, and accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and present financial information clearly
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment with multiple tasks and deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or pursuing CPA preferred
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights for strategic decision-making
  • Monitor actual performance against budget, identifying variances and suggesting corrective actions
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payment and collection
  • Help maintain accurate records for vendor transactions and customer payments
  • Assist with cash flow management and tracking outstanding balances
  • Ensure financial processes comply with company policies, accounting standards (GAAP), and relevant regulations
  • Assist in the preparation for audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed
  • Work closely with the operations and leadership teams to support financial planning and business initiatives
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to management to guide operational decisions
