About The Position

The accountant plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financials records, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This position provides precise and accurate financial reporting and analysis to aid in business decision-making and operational performance.

Requirements

• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers
• Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks
• Data entry and word processing skills
• Well organized
• Ability to interface with mid and upper management, as needed.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical reasoning.
• Effective communication.
• Teamwork, and willingness to work with others on joint projects.
• Ability to take direction and work independently as necessary.
• Technical proficiency with Excel.
• Knowledge of GAAP standards.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
• Related work experience, with production/manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze financial data, variances, and trends to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Serve as additional support for accounts payable, billings, and payroll functions.
• Support department heads by generating and distributing various internal reports.
