Position Summary ERMCO is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with 2+ years of experience who is ready to take the next step in their accounting career. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has built a solid foundation in accounting, especially in a manufacturing, industrial, or operational setting and is looking to expand their impact by taking on both cost and general accounting responsibilities in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. This role offers meaningful exposure to plant operations, inventory, and monthly close processes, with strong opportunities for professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing or cost accounting preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with ERP/accounting systems
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional lifting of files or paperwork

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensure
  • Experience with Infor or similar ERP system
  • Prior involvement in inventory or fixed asset accounting
  • Exposure to operational or plant-level financial processes

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and variance reporting
  • Maintain and update standard cost data; support annual cost roll processes
  • Analyze manufacturing cost variances and prepare reporting for leadership
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory accounts
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset records and support depreciation tracking
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including inventory and other key balance sheet items
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting activities
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Participate in internal/external audits and help ensure adherence to internal controls and GAAP
