About The Position

Accountant Job Description Process month-end plant journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations Monitors and maintains plant policies and procedures Standard Cost Accounting – reviewing and analyzing standard costs for raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods Review production order variances Analyzes cycle count and inventory data on a rotational basis Maintain other plant compliance topics. Including but not limited to HR, Shipping/Receiving, Fixed Assets/MRO, and Production. Present summaries and executive-style reporting to management for summarization of compliance Work directly with internal/external audit on resolution of current findings and prevention of future findings Ad hoc reports as needed

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in accounting required
  • 3+ years in accounting
  • Must have strong analytical skills and experience in analysis
  • Ability to effectively interact with operating units and other departments

Nice To Haves

  • Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred
  • Direct Plant/Manufacturing experience desirable
