About the Position We are seeking an Accountant II providing financial and/or grants administration support within our Finance & Grants Division. This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The annual salary for this position is up to $65,000.00 based on education and experience. This position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with state fiscal policies, federal grant requirements, and agency internal controls. Responsibilities may include financial tracking, reimbursement processing, grant monitoring, reporting, audit preparation, and coordination with state and federal oversight entities. This position is a regular, full-time position governed by the Oklahoma Civil Service system and subject to the Civil Service and Human Capital Modernization Act. Employment in this role is covered by applicable Civil Service Rules, policies, and procedures and is subject to a required 12-month trial period, during which performance, conduct, and overall suitability for continued employment will be evaluated in accordance with Civil Service Rules. Position Summary Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, this position is assigned responsibilities involving professional level work in the maintenance, analysis, interpretation, and management of financial accounting data. This includes the preparation and posting of various journals, ledgers and accounts, analysis and presentation of financial data, and preparation of financial statements and expenditure reports, review and approval of various vouchers and invoices for payment, analyzing budget requirements, preparing payroll data, allocation of funds to various accounts or functions, and other similar activities.
