Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1+ year of relevant experience
  • Demonstrate experience with Accounting principles and practices with GAAP
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem solver mindset
  • Communicate effectively through written and oral methods in a courteous, professional and timely manner
  • Effective and efficient time management skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills-forward thinker

Nice To Haves

  • Fixed asset experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain fixed asset system for accounting, processing and reporting of the assets
  • Check for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub ledger and month-end closing activities such as account reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments
  • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed
  • Collaborate with team members to monitor asset disposals and movements
  • Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system
  • Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
  • Performs variance analysis
  • Prepares monthly journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
  • Assists in projects and leases as needed
  • Assists in year-end audit
  • Identifies, communicates and performs accounting best practices
  • Other duties as assigned
