In this role, you’ll need to use all your education and experience as you work with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals who are writing the history of our organization and guiding our success as a global industry leader. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel as well as proficiency in other Office applications.
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem Solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports for Taft Hartley Trust Funds.
  • Perform bank account reconciliation and analysis
  • Prepare journal entries and review accounting classification in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles in preparation for trustee meetings and audit
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
  • Work with auditors on annual fund audits
  • Provide explanation and investigate auditor findings
  • Analyze investment statement activity and reconcile for journal entries input
  • Process payments and retrieve required statements from websites.
  • Investigate tax issues, work with the IRS and state, and provide solutions to any tax issues
  • Maintain relationships with banking and investment vendors
  • Occasional travel for onsite audit work

  • The salary for this role will range from $49,700 - $88,800 annually based on full-time employment.
