About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payables, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with state tax regulations, among other critical accounting functions. This position requires excellent analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Business Central, Excel, and others such.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Business Central, Excel, SAP, and Oracle Financials.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Process and manage payables.
Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.
Prepare payments and ensure timely processing.
Maintain accurate payment records.
Prepare and review payroll reports for accuracy.
Coordinate with payroll team to ensure data accuracy.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
Prepare monthly budget vs. actual reports.
Analyze variances and provide insights into financial performance.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
Preparing financial reports in support of financial statements
Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and file monthly state tax reports.
Stay updated with state tax laws and regulations.
Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Track and manage company fixed assets.
Ensure depreciation is accounted for correctly.
