About The Position
The Accountant supports day-to-day corporate accounting operations, with a primary focus on month-end close processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and operational accounting activities. This hands-on role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional seeking growth in a dynamic asset management environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–6 years of accounting experience with month-end close exposure
- Experience with payroll and operational accounting
- Experience in asset management, financial services, or professional services
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations as part of the month-end close
- Maintain balance sheet, bank, prepaid, and accrual schedules
- Assist with internal financial reporting and year-end audit support
- Support operational accounting, including AP, billing, payroll, benefits, fixed assets, and depreciation
- Monitor expense coding, investigate discrepancies, and ensure policy compliance
- Assist with cash reporting, reconciliations, forecasting inputs, and payment documentation
- Support internal controls, process documentation, and workflow improvements
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, operations, and management on accounting matters
