Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings between $50000 - $55000 / year. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.OverviewThe Accountant will prepare and analyze journal entries, perform month and year-end closings, complete general ledger, and bank reconciliations and support warehouse locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree plus three years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards

Responsibilities

  • Perform month/year-end financial analysis of actual results against budget/forecast
  • Prepare and analyze closing journal entries and support month-end review processes
  • Complete complex balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis
  • Evaluate transactions and record to the general ledger as necessary to ensure the financials are accurate and complete
  • Research technical accounting issues and can work with management on solutions
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects, as needed
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
