About The Position

POS is seeking Accountant candidates who want to join our team located in Waterloo, IA. At POS, the Accountant has a multi-functional role within the Accounting department and networks across all departments and plants. In addition, the Accountant is given exposure to a wide range of processes to support financial and operational needs allowing for development of their skills and technical accounting knowledge. Real-world application of complex financial scenarios as well as opportunity for advancement are provided with this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Proficiency with MS Office products

Nice To Haves

• CPA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close responsibilities including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial analysis
• Maintain and enhance the inventory costing system
• Account for fixed assets and intangibles
• Assist in annual budget preparation
• Support the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business operational needs
• Other tasks as assigned
